Unito is a workflow management solution that gives teams the ability to stay in sync no matter what tools they’re using. By building flows, you build a two-way connection between projects, creating a seamless transition of information between multiple tools.
During the first 2 years, the Unito product team was exclusively made of people with a development/engineering background. As a consequence, the experience really reflected this mindset. The core experience, called the flow builder, was tailored to tech-savvy users. During year 3 and 4, we worked on step-specific improvements and observed how those impacted our key metrics (mostly flow creation and activation rate).
After closing a $10.5 million Series A round in spring 2019, Unito had to step up in terms of experience, in order to reach its growth goals.
Back in January 2021, the Unito app had a lot of UX and UI debt to catch up. This project was the perfect opportunity to:
Audit the current experience
The actual audit took place on Miro and using lots of different data set from our analytics, user recording tool, direct testimonial from our users and indirect feedback from the custom-facing teams.
Those quick visual audit leverage the psych framework developed by Design Growth (Dan Benoni and Louis-Xavier Lavallee). It consists into a simplified concept involving both the motivation and ability of a user when interacting with a product.

With La Netscouade
After three decades of existence, RSF needed to renew their image and the engagement from their communities. In 2015, when we started the project, there were 128 journalists and 178 net-citizens imprisoned across the globe. The role of RSF is to make sure their voice keep being heard and that more and more people support the right to information.
How we answer the challenge:
We implemented a strong taxonomy system that allow to allow to link all contents (figures, images, articles, …) to a certain regions or countries so that changes can be made in a centralized place by the team.
An RSF member is committed to the organization goals, is financially supportive, take part in the decision-making process by participating into the general assembly, should take personal initiative to defend freedom of information.
Companies can support RSF financially and by co-organizing events.
